Lester Rollie Reed, 88, of Cortland, NE, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Cortland, NE. He was born August 4, 1923, to Rollie and Alice Reed at Hayes Center, NE, moving to Colorado in 1927 where Lester was raised. Lester graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1943, and then went into the Air Force, serving 3 years during WWII. He was over seas most of the 3 years. Dale H. Jacobsen, 91, of rural Firth, NE, passed away Saturday (7/7/12). He was born near Cushing, NE on January 8, 1921 to Clyde and Johanna (Pedersen) Jacobsen. Dale was a milk tester for Dairy Herd Improvement Association. On April 7, 1957 he married Velma where they farmed near Firth. At the age of 79 he went to work for Molex for several years. Sidney Whigham, 55, of Lincoln, NE, was called to his heavenly home Wednesday (6/20/12). He was born in Biloxi, MS on September 6, 1956 to Benny Cotton and Mary Inez Whigham. In 1960 he moved to Lincoln with his mother and brothers. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. Sidney started working at Goodyear in 1977 and retired in 2007. Roger D. Boveia, 73, of Lincoln, NE, died Friday (6/15/12).He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on November 11, 1938 to Eldon and Eula (Jewett) Boveia. He was married to Aurdree Allemand on August 14, 1966.
