Orval E. Wissink, 80, Lincoln, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 in Lincoln. He was born July 29, 1927, in Holland, NE to John D. and Lena (Essink) Wissink. He was a member of Lincoln Berean Church for 35 years and the former "Silent Orv" on Cartoon Corral for 14 years. He was a Floor Manager for KOLN TV for 42 years. Family includes: Wife, Alda, Lincoln; sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Claudia, Hastings, NE, Daryl and Cathy, Rugby, ND, Kevin and Lorene, Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Carol Wissink, Omaha; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent; son, David; brother, Marvin; sister, Elaine. Visitation: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, with family greeting from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 North 27th Street, Lincoln, NE and one hour before the service at the church.
