Harry Weaver, Jr.

Harry Weaver, Jr. (Goonie) was born on October 11, 1959 to Harry Weaver, Sr. and Ollie Mitchell, in Greenwood, MS. Jay attended school in Greenwood, MS until his late mother moved to Lincoln, NE in the 1970’s. He then attended Lincoln High School and joined the basketball team. Soon after graduating from LHS he joined the US Army. Jay did enjoy his family and friends! He loved playing cards, dominos, and socializing amongst friends and family! But most of all Jay loved to feed people. He loved his Bar-B-Q! When you say cooking, Jay was always ready to be in charge and put something together! Then it was time to eat, lay on the couch, and watch his favorite criminal shows (NCIS and Law and Order). He was employed Upper Crust at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Harry was an all-around good guy. As the male figure in the family and had a stern upbringing. Let’s just say he carried his brief case and he carried it well!

Harry was proceeded in death by his mother, Ollie Weaver and brother, Andre Keys. He leaves to cherish in his memories his  father, Harry Weaver, Sr., of Chicago, IL; daughter, Jennifer, of AZ; son, Romello Weaver; daughter, Fochell Weaver, bother of Lincoln, NE. Harry also had additional children, Yarshika Haynes, Trenton Haynes, and Wanya Haynes, all of Lincoln, NE; siblings, Valerie (Ray) Patterson, Linda (James) Ewing Jr., George Weaver, Sr., Sabrina Weaver, and Clark (Priscilla) Weaver, all of Lincoln, NE, Philip Keys and Pamela Keys, of Greenwood, MS, Vinita Jackson and Michael Weaver, of Lincoln, NE; two uncles, George (Carylon) Mitchell, of Dyersburg, TN, Mitchell and Roland Weaver Sr., of Racine, WI; two aunts, Threasa (Charles) McCain and Thelma Carr, of Greenwood, MS.
