Dorothy E. (Jacobsen) Jelinek died Friday (1/09/09) in Lincoln. Born in Ceresco, Neb. to Alfred and Hilma (Olson) Jacobsen. Retired telephone operator, member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, she loved to dance, garden and help her family. Family members include: husband, John Jelinek, Lincoln; daughter, JoAnn & husband, Buzz Murphy, Lincoln; grandchildren, Trish Gropp & husband, Bob, Lincoln; David Murphy, Rocklin, Calif.; great grandchildren, B.J., Reagan & Easton Gropp, Lincoln. Preceded in death by brothers, Clarence & Leonard Jacobsen. Visitation: 2-7 p.m. Thursday with family greeting 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service: 3:30 p.m. Friday (1/16/09) at Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 N 27th Street, Rev. Dr. Ronald L. Bump officiating.
