Lena Mae "Swede" Towle, 94, widow of Harold "Tiny", Lincoln, formerly Elmwood, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 in Lincoln. She was born March 25, 1915 in New Market, IA, to Wesley & Eva (Dollihite) Rine. She was retired from Lincoln Snack Company and a member of Northeast Missionary Church.
Family Includes: Daughters & sons-in-law, Maureen Sweeney, Abilene, TX and Charles Sweeney, Center Point, WV, Elaine & Kenneth Grannas, Adams, NE, Lena Mae & Larry Vandeman, Ashland, NE, Mildred Lester, Lincoln, NE, Kathryn & John Krouse, Elmwood, NE; daughter-in-law, Lynda Towle, Douglas, NE; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rine, Wheatland, WY; 25 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Lee, Dale & Donald; 7 brothers; 2 sisters.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Wednesday (9/16/2009) at the funeral home and one hour prior to service time at the church.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Northeast Missionary Church, 3333 N. 66th St., Lincoln, NE, with Pastors Roy Nelson & Larry Secor officiating.
Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family.
