Lena Mae "Swede" Towle, 94, widow of Harold "Tiny", Lincoln, formerly Elmwood, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 in Lincoln. She was born March 25, 1915 in New Market, IA, to Wesley & Eva (Dollihite) Rine. She was retired from Lincoln Snack Company and a member of Northeast Missionary Church. Family Includes: Daughters & sons-in-law, Maureen Sweeney, Abilene, TX and Charles Sweeney, Center Point, WV, Elaine & Kenneth Grannas, Adams, NE, Lena Mae & Larry Vandeman, Ashland, NE, Mildred Lester, Lincoln, NE, Kathryn & John Krouse, Elmwood, NE; daughter-in-law, Lynda Towle, Douglas, NE; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rine, Wheatland, WY; 25 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Lee, Dale & Donald; 7 brothers; 2 sisters. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Wednesday (9/16/2009) at the funeral home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Northeast Missionary Church, 3333 N. 66th St., Lincoln, NE, with Pastors Roy Nelson & Larry Secor officiating. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.
